The next night I spent the night as Difficult Campground right outside Aspen heading up to Independence Pass. I was told to get set up for the night before dark and it did not happen this night. The campground I was looking for on the GPS was not there. I was close to Aspen and knew I did not want to pay the price for a hotel there. I stopped at one of the hotels for help because I was lost. They tried calling another hotel that had the hostel but that would have been $50. I mentioned by camp gear so they directed me to Difficult. When I found the campground I round thru and everything was marked as reserved. On the second drive thru I noticed the reserved dates and choose one site that was not going to be occupied for another couple of days
